I am selling a 1996 Yamaha FZR 600. It is red, white, and blue with a Vance and Hines carbon pipe on it. The bike has a new rear tire and new front brakes. The rear tire still has the nubs on it. The bike has less that 15,000 miles on it. I rode it for the past 3 seasons. It has only once been in the rain. Got caught out by suprise. It has never been dropped. It runs great. It was my first bike but as I am 6′5 and 220 lbs. it is a little small for me. I am looking to upgrade and I promised the wife I would sell this before getting another bike. I am willing to meet you in the Philadelphia area. The winning buyer will have to handle any shipment charges aside from that.

I am selling this locally as well so I will pull the auction if it sells sooner.

A good beginner bike. I’ll be the first to tell you that this bike is BEAT UP!! Has several scratches and has been dropped (by previous owner) several times. I bought it as a starter bike. I have had it for a year and have upsized!
The bike has a crack in the wind shield and has numerous scratches, all over the fairings. The bike has a new front brake assembly and battery. The bike needs work! It runs smoothly once it gets started though. Some key things to know are that it does have an oil leak (very slight) and probably needs a new gasket. And beware of all of the scratches and scrapes!
The previous owner did not keep the bike in a garage, so it has some weather-wear. I have kept it in a garage and have changed the oil regularly as well. This is a nice little bike and very good for someone starting out. It would also make a good stunt bike, for all you trixters.

This is a used 1994 Yamaha FZR 600 with a clean title.

The bike had a minor crash and was sold to me not running. The crash did minimal damage. The frame and forks are straight with some damaged plastics, a scraped engine cover, and dented radiator (Doesn’t leak). I purchased a battery and found that the carbs had jumped out of the rubber boots. The engine fires right up now. I replaced the cracked tank cover and added more modern rear turn signals (Needs wiring). The bike is still missing the left lower fairing, and it has a cracked Tachometer lens but the tach still works and the lens is replaceable. One other problem is that a hose is missing or off the rear of the engine and oil will come out of the fitting when driven. The starter button sticks occasionally. The color is purple. It has an aftermarket Fox shock with remote reservoir adjustable. It also has an aftermarket muffler. I’m not sure if anything else is aftermarket. Tires are good. Brakes are good. I have the manual on CD but I haven’t had time to work on this project and my wife is giving me resistance so I lost motivation. No reserve.

Writing about the 2006 model (the same as the ‘07), Cycle World said:
“Since its introduction in 2001, the FZ1 has been one of our favorite motorcycles, earning that year’s Best Open-Class Streetbike award in Cycle World’s Ten Best Bikes balloting. Based on first impressions and the fact that Yamaha has improved upon that same formula for success, it seems very likely that this latest FZ1 will continue to be one of the motorcycles that people love to ride. Anytime. Anywhere.”
And that description is correct. This is, though, a brutal bike–essentiallly the R1 with an upright seating position and no fairing (although it does have a small bikini fairing that does a decent job of diverting the worst of the wind blast around you). This is an awesome bike. It is not, however, the bike for me. I’ve had many, many bikes, both sport and cruisers. I thought I wanted another sport bike, but now I realize I really want a cruiser. Frankly, I’m concerned that this is more bike than I am rider. If you are a new rider, do not bid on this bike–it is not designed for you.
As they say, my loss is your gain. With the exception of obvious slight tire wear from use, this is essentially a new bike. I did change the oil to synthetic recently. My bike is the dark metalic blue–not the black pictured–and the wheels are black, too.
Please do not contact me about shipping. I will help with that by delivering the bike to a local depot if necessary, but you are responsible for the details. Reserve is reasonable considering that I anticipate losing money on this transaction. Buyer must understand that although the bike has a clear title as in no liens, it is the bank’s bike that I am still paying on. That means that you as the buyer buys the bike, and I pay off the bank before the title can be transfered.

This is a 1992 Yamaha FZR 600. The bike runs alright, but not 100% (I’m pretty sure it just needs an oil change and the carbs cleaned). I took this bike to and from work all summer, and never had any problems with it. I’ve taken it on trips up to 120 miles in a day without problems as well. The body isn’t in the best of shape, as the pictures show. The front half has the damage on it, from its previous owner laying it down. The rear half and tank are in perfect condition. The pictures are not great, there look like there are some paint imperfections in the rear, but i promise there are not. If you’d like some better pictures, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. The only real problem this bike has given me while riding, is that it will jump out of second gear every once in awhile if you enter it at too low of of an RPM. This would make a great learner bike! This beautiful bike had an insurance company salvage title due to being layed down. I bought it in 2002 and completed the repairs easily. It only had cosmetic damage and only required replacement of components and a new paint job. I replaced the pipe, pegs and side casings and had the tanks and fairing repaired and painted. The color is the most popular OEM Yamaha “Liquid Silver” from the 2003 FZ-1. Due to turning 40 and small kids, I rarely ride the anymore and want to sell it. I had the carbs rebuilt at the local dealer this summer at a cost of $575 in hopes of riding more often.
The bike looks and runs great. The only problems are that the clock does not keep accurate time and the engine misses a little at idle. I thought the carb work would take care of the miss, but a tune up is probably needed. This bike is comfortable, fast and a joy to ride.
